Susanna Spann earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Arizona State University followed by three years at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles for Illustration.
She is a signature member of American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society and Florida Watercolor Society. Her work is in 12 different books on watercolor including her own book “Painting Crystal and Flowers in Watercolor”.
For 45 years Ms. Spann was a participant in the Outdoor Art Festivals and won over 600 awards for her drawings and paintings. During 15 years of this time, she was an adjunct instructor at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida teaching watercolor and illustration.
She presently paints for national competitions, judges exhibitions, instructs watercolor workshops and displays her work in her own gallery, The Dead End Gallery in Cortez, Florida. Susanna’s present series of work is titled “Spanning the Globe” and is created from her travels.
